Watch Urvashi Rautela got emotional at Great Grand Masti Press Meet
Three weeks back, Great Grand Masti seemed like a successful film on paper. The recall value was high, considering it’s the third instalment in an immensely popular franchise. But over two weeks prior to its release, the film lost its audience.
Talking about the issue, Urvashi Rautela, the leading lady of the film told media, “I am a 22 year old young girl who’s trying to find a footing in the industry. When Udta Punjab was leaked online, I felt bad for the team.
But never did I think that the same will happen to my film as well. There were people messaging me on social media saying they liked my performance because they had watched the film already before it could release in theatres. I didn’t know whether I should have smiled or cried.”
She immediately got emotional while explaining. “We made a film and it was completely murdered by the piracy. I hope something like this doesn’t happen to anyone else anymore. I hope people who have done this to our film get proper punishment.”
The film suffered a huge blow at the Box Office after it released on Friday, a week ahead of its initial release date. The film’s predecessor in the franchise Grand Masti is the only film to have entered the Rs 100 crore club and with Great Grand Masti too, there were similar expectations.
