Telangana Has Big Plans For The State Formation Day on June 2
Telangana Government has decided to celebrate the second anniversary of State Formation Day in a big way in Hyderabad and all the districts of the state on June 2.
A mega fireworks display is planned to be held on the banks of Hussainsagar on the occasion. The decision was taken by the Cabinet subcommittee formed by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to oversee the celebrations, when it met here on Tuesday.
The sub-panel is headed by home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and has ministers Etela Rajender, Ajmera Chandulal, K.T. Rama Rao and Jupally Krishna Rao as members. Mr Chandrasekhar Rao has made it known that the state should wear a festive look on June 2.
While Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and the CM and others will participate in a programme in Hyderabad, other ministers will participate in the respective district headquarters.
Reviewing the arrangements, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao instructed the officials to organise Telangana cultural programmes in all educational institutions apart from blood donation camps, distribution of clothes and fruits to poor and medical patients and illumination and flower decoration of all government offices and important historical places.
KCR told the officials to give life achievement awards for accomplishments in different fields to 50 individuals at State-level and 25 each at district-level.
He also instructed district officials to felicitate Telangana martyrs on the occasion. Arrangements are also being made to telecast the programme live on television by the State Information and Public Relations Department. Traffic coordination, water supply to participants, emergency medical services, installation of mobile toilets and uninterrupted power supply at important venues, are the focus areas.
In Hyderabad, banners should be arranged at the airport, railway/bus stations.He also told that conducting special prayers for welfare and development of the State in all places of worship, holding ‘kavi sammelans and mushairas’ in Telugu and Urdu with State formation as the theme would also be part of this year’s celebrations.
